As part of the 2017 Margate Festival we hosted a show of #tintype photographs by Rob Ball – these wonderfully evocative images were all taken at the celebrations to mark the 80th birthday of the Walpole Bay Tidal Pool (a couple of weeks earlier). The images were displayd in the shop window, and during the show we also hosted a reading room over a weekend where people could handle examples of this photographic process as well as look through books by the photographer and information about the tidal pool itself.
